Sister Act

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
She Kills Monsters

A dramatic comedy about the world of fantasy role-playing games, SHE KILLS MONSTERS tells the story of Agnes Evans as she comes to terms with the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When she finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she embarks on an adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. In this high-octane comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen (VIETGONE, LIVING DEAD IN DENMARK) offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
April 21-24, 2021
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
The Laramie Project

"The Laramie Project" is set in and around Laramie, Wyoming, in the aftermath of the murder of 21-year-old Matthew Shepard. To create the stage version of "The Laramie Project," the eight-member New York-based Tectonic Theatre Project traveled to Laramie, Wyoming, recording hours of interviews with the town's citizens over a two-year period. The play dramatizes the troupe's visit, using the actual words from the transcripts to create a portrait of a town forced to confront itself.
Chicago

"Chicago" is a musical crime comedy-drama film based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes she reported on. The story is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the "celebrity criminal". It explores the themes of celebrity, scandal, and corruption in Chicago during the Jazz Age. The play features two murderesses who find themselves in jail together awaiting trial in 1920s Chicago. Velma, a vaudevillian, and Roxie, a housewife, fight for the fame that will keep them from the gallows.
Love Rides the Rails

All seems well for our heroes Truman Pendennis and Prudence Hopewell until the villainous Simon Darkway arrives determined to destroy the Walker Valley Pine Bush and Pacific Railroad. Employing the talents of the sinister Dirk Sneath and the sultry Carlotta Cortez, Simon hatches a plan to tarnish Truman’s reputation and steal the rail franchise from underneath the nose of the company. Can our heroes prevail over the devious schemes of Darkway and his henchmen? What will become of the Walker Valley Pine Bush and Pacific? Can duty, love, and honor win out over treachery and greed?
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying

J. Pierpont Finch is a lowly window cleaner with dreams of making it big in the business world. After finding a copy of the book "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," Finch decides to apply the tactics in the book to his own life. Soon, he's working as a mail-room clerk at the World Wide Wicket Company and quickly fighting his way up the corporate ladder with relative ease in this quirky musical comedy.
Hamlet

“Hamlet” centers around a prince’s angst and indecision about how to avenge his father’s death. It's Shakespeare's most famous play about Shakespeare's most famous character and it contains Shakespeare's most famous line: "To be or not to be, that is the question." The play has remained relevant due to it dealing with universal human concerns: love, loyalty, betrayal, morality, trust, despair, and whether it is better to face one’s troubles full on or surrender to the darkness.
A Raisin in the Sun

With a cast in which all but one character is African-American, "A Raisin in the Sun" can be considered a turning point in American art. Written in 1959 by Lorraine Hansberry, the story tells of a black family's experiences in the Washington Park Subdivision of Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood as they attempt to "better" themselves with an insurance payout following the death of the father. "A Raisin in the Sun" explores not only the tension between white and black society but also addresses feminist questions ahead of their time while asking difficult questions about assimilation, identity, marriage, and the American Dream.
Spamalot
March 1-3, 2018
"Spamalot" tells the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on their quest from God for the Holy Grail — with a short stop in the dazzling Spam-filled land of Camelot. The show boasts "a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and one legless knight" who sing and dance. Python devotees will be happy to know The Knights Who Say "Ni!" also make an appearance.
Heaven Can Wait

Joe Pendleton is not dead! He is sure of it, despite the fact that his spirit is in limbo. After some investigating, his heavenly hosts discover that Joe’s not scheduled to die for another 60 years. Unfortunately, his body has already been cremated. As a temporary solution, Joe finds himself in the body of the rich and pompous (and newly murdered) Jonathan Farnsworth. He must adjust to this body by making new friends and avoiding new enemies. If Joe isn’t careful, he could end up falling in love with someone other than Jonathan's wife, or could even become the victim of Jonathan’s murderer!
Les Misérables

Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. This true modern classic s based on Victor Hugo's novel and features one of the most memorable scores of all time. Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe that Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during a student uprising, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter. His world view shattered, Javert commits suicide, and Valjean finally attains the peace that he has sought for so long.

Detectives Knutz and Boults are the eighth best team for the job. When a bakery is robbed, the store owner, Margie, must employ Detectives Knutz and Boults to solve the mystery. They go undercover as street vendors, a hip-hop crew, old ladies, and more! Their methods are a little unorthodox, but they get the job done! This comedy contains elements of audience participation that will keep everyone on their toes!
Shrek: The Musical

Set in a mythical “once upon a time” sort of land, "Shrek the Musical" is the story of a hulking green ogre who, after being mocked and feared his entire life by anything that crosses his path, retreats to an ugly green swamp to exist in happy isolation. Suddenly, a gang of homeless fairy-tale characters (Pinocchio, Cinderella, the Three Pigs, you name it) raid his sanctuary, saying they’ve been evicted by the vertically challenged Lord Farquaad. So Shrek strikes a deal: I’ll get your homes back, if you give me my home back! But when Shrek and Farquaad meet, the Lord strikes a deal of his own: He’ll give the fairy-tale characters their homes back, if Shrek rescues Princess Fiona. Shrek obliges, yet finds something appealing–something strange and different–about this pretty princess. He likes her. A lot. But why does she always run off when the sun sets?

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to 19th century London seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for revenge inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up, and the carnage has only just begun! Charlie Gordon is a developmentally-disabled man in his early thirties who has the opportunity to undergo a surgical procedure that will dramatically increase his mental capabilities. This procedure had already been successfully performed on a laboratory mouse, Algernon, but Charlie will be the first human subject. In a series of progress reports, Charlie documents everything that happens to him. The story is his journey into genius, self-awareness, and the discovery that the world around him is not what it seemed.

Everything changes when his friend gives him a gift card to IGI. Not knowing what to expect, Terry finds himself a shining knight saving a damsel from the dreaded black knight. Hooked, Terry becomes a frequent customer. From superhero to president of the United States, IGI has it all. Has the alluring nature of this fantasy world become too consuming? Terry begins to allow his fictional world to consume his reality. Is there a way to have both fantasy and reality?

A medieval kingdom is ruled by devious Queen Aggravain and mute King Sextimus the Silent. The queen has declared that no one may wed until her son, Prince Dauntless, takes a wife. The search is on to find Dauntless a mate – a princess who can pass a series of ridiculous tests. The crisis escalates when Sir Harry and his girlfriend, Lady Larken, urgently want to get married. Finally, unrefined Princess Winnifred is discovered, and the kingdom invests its efforts into helping her pass the tests.

Eccentric Bud Granger, Hollywood screenwriter, decides to give up life in the fast lane and buys a lodge in Tumbleweed, Arizona. The inn is a termite pile, but as it's near the fabled "Lost Dutchman Mine," Bud thinks he might soon be a reclusive millionaire. What he didn't figure on is that the lodge is full of nuts . . . a Little Old Lady who is in touch with "Space People;" outraged tourists who thought the lodge would be like the Ritz; Oysters Rockefeller, an emotional mobster who won't stay dead; aspiring starlet Chi-Chi Vazoom who finds lizards "cute." Then Bud's zany mother unexpectedly arrives! And did I mention the FBI, a corpse on roller skates, the state lottery, the mysterious flight bag, brussels sprouts on a stick? Despite the madness, miraculously, and true to the author's style, all problems are resolved.
